MoFi Granola

MoFi Granola
2  C Oats
2  C Bran cereal
½ C wheat germ
½ C pecans – coarsely ground
½ C almonds – coarsely ground
3 Tbls Brown Sugar
1/8-1/4 tsp cinnamon
¼ C honey
¼ C light corn syrup
¼ C vegetable/canola oil
1 tsp vanilla
2-4 Tbls water
1 C raisins, or dried cranberries, Craisins

Preheat oven to 350.  Combine oats, bran cereal, & wheat germ. Place evenly on cookie sheet, bake for 10 minutes.  Remove and put in large bowl.

Combine wet ingredients – (vegetable oil, honey, light corn syrup, vanilla, 3 Tbls brown sugar, cinnamon.)  In a sauce pan bring “wet” ingredients to a boil then remove from heat.

Mix thoroughly with dry ingredients. Add water and mix in nuts and fruit.

Place on cookie sheet.  Bake for 15m @ 350.

Remove from oven.  Lightly compact with spatula while hot,  then let cool completely. Break apart with spatula to create “chunks”.

Makes about 12 Servings
